Sailing to the Future: an initiative in partnership between Lachmann and Projeto Grael
Founded in 1998 by Olympic medalists Lars Grael, Torben Grael and Marcelo Ferreira, Projeto Grael is a non-governmental organization (NGO) with the mission of democratizing young people’s access to sailing, promoting a significant social transformation in their lives.
Inspired by this purpose and in synergy with the social initiatives of Lachmann’s ESG agenda, the course “Sailing to the Future” was created in partnership with Projeto Grael, which aims to open new horizons for students in the shipping agency market. All students selected for the course came from Projeto Grael.
Students also received a scholarship and had the opportunity to be hired at the end of the course, becaming part of the Lachmann Talent Bank. In this way, we created opportunities, trained qualified professionals and strengthened dreams. This partnership represents our confidence in the power of learning, sports and collaboration to create a future with social and environmental sustainability.
LACHMANN GROUP PARTNERSHIP
Pallet Donation
We recently established our partnership with “Unindo Forças Cooperative”, which believes that we can have a more sustainable life; therefore, they reuse wood materials such as pallets to make other products, such as furniture which promotes the circular economy.
Contributing to this project, Lachmann Terminais will make a quarterly donation of pallets that are not used in operations with this same prupose. We are happy to deliver real results from our ESG agenda, seeking ways to provide an increasingly sustainable service.
